Troopers Find Truck In Middle Of Road In Somers, Charge Driver
A truck found in the middle of a road in Somers led to a drunken driving charge, state police said.

SOMERS, CT — A driver found stopped in the middle of a roadway in Somers last week wound up with a drunken driving charge, state police said.
A report in the Nov. 5 incident was made available Monday.
The incident took place last Monday at 4:08 p.m. State police at the Troop C barracks received "several" 911 calls about a pickup truck stopped in the middle of Camp Road in Somers, according to a report. Responding troopers found the driver, identified as 62-year-old Donald Salerno, of Stafford, sleeping behind the steering wheel with the truck's transmission in drive, according to a report.

He was charged with driving under the influence and making an improper stop and is due in couret on Nov. 27, a report indicates.
