Free Suicide Prevention Trainings Planned In Somers
Residents can learn how to recognize a crisis and connect someone with support.
SOMERS, CT — Community members will have an opportunity to learn how to recognize and respond to suicide warning signs during two upcoming trainings being offered in Somers.
The free sessions will teach participants a method known as QPR — which stands for Question, Persuade, Refer — a widely used approach designed to help people recognize someone in crisis and guide them toward support and professional help.
The training is open to the public and will be held on two separate dates in town.
