6-Vehicle I-91 Crash In Enfield Leads To Arrest
A crash on I-91 North in Enfield involved six vehicles, according to state police.
ENFIELD, CT — A driver was arrested after a rollover crash on I-91 North in Enfield Wednesday evening, according to Connecticut State Police.
The crash was reported around 6:08 p.m. near Exit 49. State police said six vehicles were traveling north in the left lane when a Hyundai Kona, driven by Eliezer Perez, 30, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was traveling at a high rate of speed.
State police said the Hyundai moved into the left shoulder, hit several vehicles and then rolled over. No injuries were reported, according to the crash summary.

Perez was helped out of the rolled-over vehicle, state police said. Troopers said he showed signs of impairment after the crash.
Perez was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, failure to drive in the proper lane, reckless driving and disobeying the signal of an officer, according to state police.

He was released on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court.
