Michaud was arrested in connection with a shooting which occurred May 15 on Asnuntuck Street, when he is alleged to have fired at least one round at a person. Subsequent investigation led to the issuance of a court-authorized search and seizure warrant, in which a firearm and ammunition consistent with the May shooting were recovered, Deputy Chief Fred Hall said.

Upon execution of the arrest warrant, Michaud was found to be in possession of substances consistent with, and believed to be crack cocaine, fentanyl and suboxone. Quantities and packaging of some of these substances was consistent with possession with intent to sell, Hall said.
