Grade 7 Students complete third Lab Science Dissection at St. Bernard School
Even though dissections are typically done in high school, following several weeks of classroom preparation, 7th grade students from St. Bernard School dissected a bullfrog for their 3rd dissection of the year. Using laboratory dissection tools, the students cut into the frogs and identified the anatomy, comparing pieces of the frog to their laboratory anatomy charts. After the dissections were complete, students were then able to take cross sections of the frog anatomy and use 3 newly purchased Trinocular Compound LED Microscopes to magnify cells and observe more closely. Images were projected onto a 70 inch screen using OMAX Toup View Software, a new upgrade to the classroom and science curriculum this year.
