Allied's Attic Thrift Store ready for "Black Friday"

Sales, Surprises and the beginning of our 5th Annual Silent Auction on tap for Friday, Nov. 27, 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Allied’s Attic Thrift Store at 294 George Washington Rd. in Enfield will be closing early at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25 and will reopen at 10 a.m. on “Black Friday,” Nov. 27. Designer handbags, fur coats and jackets, Christmas decorations, holiday home décor and several surprises will be on sale Friday.

Black Friday also marks the beginning of the 5th Annual Allied’s Attic Silent Auction. Proceeds will benefit unfunded programs and services for adults with intellectual disabilities at Allied Rehabilitation Centers.

Auction items on display in the store’s entrance include leather jackets, Hummel and Lladró figurines, blue Carnival glass, an Ovation Legend guitar, white willow pattern china settings for four, a Panasonic DVD Home Theater system, 1975 Hallmark Road Rovers die-cast collectible cars, a Davy Crockett toy box and more.

Bids must be made in person and will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18. Winners will be announced on Monday, Dec. 21.

As we begin to celebrate the holidays, Thrift Store Manager Marisol Suarez notes that clothing donations are a high priority. “Many local families depend on us for reasonably priced clothing, especially with winter on the way,” she states.

Allied’s Attic will be accepting donations on Saturday, Nov. 28, from 10-1. Weekday donations are accepted between 9-3. Tax forms are available.
