• Enfield Police Announce Friday Night DUI Checkpoint (patch.com) — Drivers in Enfield should be prepared for a DUI checkpoint Friday night on Route 190 near Palomba Drive, running from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Police are urging residents to plan safe rides in advance and avoid driving after drinking as enforcement will be highly visible.
   

• Enfield Father Of 2 Young Children Fatally Shot: Report (patch.com) — Enfield residents are mourning 34-year-old Mark Morgan, an Enfield father of two who was fatally shot in a Somers home, according to an arrest warrant. State police say a Somers man is charged with murder and related offenses, remains held on a $1.5 million bond, and the investigation is ongoing.
