25 Years: Enfield To Remember 9/11 At Memorial Tribute Garden

Friday, Sept. 11, marks the 25th anniversary of the terror attacks in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.

ENFIELD, CT — Enfield residents will gather Friday evening to remember the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Friday marks 25 years since the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and United Airlines Flight 93. The attacks killed 2,977 people.

Connecticut's memorial at Sherwood Island State Park honors 161 victims who lived in the state, had relatives here or maintained another connection to Connecticut, according to the governor's office.
