• $4M Cleanup Could Clear Way For 156 Enfield Apartments (patch.com) — Enfield officials are weighing acceptance of a $4 million state brownfield grant to clean up the former Eversource power plant site on North River Street, clearing the way for 156 Enfield Station Apartments. The project, next to the planned Enfield train station, would add a mill-style apartment building and a public riverwalk along the Connecticut River, with no impact on the town's local budget.
   

• CT man charged with murder in deadly home invasion in Somers facing additional weapons charges (courant.com) — An Enfield man is facing new weapons charges after already being accused of murdering another man during an August home invasion at his former Somers residence. State police say a follow-up weapons compliance check uncovered several firearms and allegedly illegal large-capacity magazines, leading to additional charges and a $20,000 bond while he remains in the court system.
