Annual Summit Offers Expert Advice on Meeting Baby Boomer Home Healthcare Needs
Edge Ahead Summit for Healthcare Professionals.

When Sandra Sergeant, R.N. arrived in the U.S. from her native Trinidad in 1986, she set her sights on the healthcare industry. A decade later, she obtained her registered nursing degree and didn’t stop there. Sergeant has been featured in numerous healthcare and women’s publications, authored a book and is chief executive officer of Caring Solutions, LLC, a home healthcare agency and the eighth largest woman-owned business in Conn.
With the success of Caring Solutions, LLC, Sergeant formed an educational division, the New England Home Health Care Consortium, dedicated to educating home healthcare professionals about societal, public policy, technology issues and assisting them with development strategies to address industry trends.
“We were really excited to form this much needed consortium,” says Sergeant. “We wanted to offer a forum for futurist home healthcare CEOs, essentially out-of-the-box thinkers looking to prepare themselves and their staff for the 78 million baby boomers seeking home healthcare. The growth pillars – exceptional customer service, cutting edge technology and marketing – have been identified for this entirely new client demographic, and now is the time to improve these areas,” she concludes.
