ENFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Manchester Community College, Manchester CT

  • Katherine B Lagasse and Sarah E Michaud, both of Enfield, have been named to the President's List at MCC for the spring 2019 semester. This recognizes the exceptional scholarship of full- and part-time students who earn a 4.0 or “A” grade point average in their courses. Full-time students who have completed at least 12 credits for the semester with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in the semester are eligible for this honor.
  • A number of Enfield residents earned part-time President's List honors for the spring 2019 semester. They are Jocelyn Badeau, Andrew M Cicoria, Jonathan M Gill, Pauline M Griffin, Sandra Hamideh, Kathryn S Hebb, Leslie A O'Brien, Leah C Pedersen, Lisa M Trotta and Tara L Tymoshiw. Part-time students who have earned a 4.0 GPA with no withdrawals or incompletes in the semester — and have accumulated 12 credits at MCC — are eligible for the Part-Time President’s List.
  • Dean's List honorees from Enfield in spring 2019 are Lourdes Cruz-Martinez, Jenna S Kolodziej, Danielle LeBlanc, Paul J Pasquarelli, Jordan R Patterson, Kayla Rodriguez, Andrew J Sharon, Kelley D Starkey and Caitlin R Swanson. Full-time students enrolled in 12 credits or more and who have earned a GPA of 3.4 with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in that semester are eligible for the Dean’s List. Part-time students are eligible for recognition with the same criteria when they have completed 12 or more credits of work with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher. They may be subsequently recognized at successive 12-credit intervals.

University of Connecticut Avery Point, Groton CT

  • Seven student-athletes from the University of Connecticut Avery Point, including women's basketball team member Miriam Dugas of Enfield, have been honored with All-Academic Team status from the National Junior College Athletic Association for their work in the classroom.
    All-Academic Team status is determined based off of grade reports from the recently completed academic year.
