Around the Campuses: Enfield College Students

ENFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Thirty student interns and volunteers from Eastern Connecticut State University participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program this past spring, serving 1,317 people who received $2,934,056 in refunds and credits. Among the volunteers was Przemyslaw Kluk of Enfield, who majors in Exploratory Prof. Studies. VITA volunteers are IRS-certified and provide free tax-preparation and submission services to lower-income families and individuals.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• A pair of Enfield residents were among the 1,127 students who received their degrees in May as part of the Class of 2018: Jenna Clavette, Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Psychology, and Joanna Skora, with a B.S. in Biology.
