Asnuntuck Community Helps Those in Need
Asnuntuck students, staff and faculty have held various collection drives during the holiday season.
Asnuntuck Community College's students, staff, faculty and Food Pantry have been spreading some holiday joy during the past few weeks.
Asnuntuck's staff and faculty were happy to be able to give gifts this holiday season to 12 children and their Moms who are being helped by The Network Against Domestic Abuse.
Asnuntuck's Student Government Association (SGA) served up coffee and hot chocolate and collected toys for the Connecticut Children's Hospital.

The SGA also hosted a winter wear drive on campus. The drive was a collaboration with Impact Church International. The group collected new hats, mittens, gloves, scarves (some even knit by members of Asnuntuck's community), and gently used coats.
Asnuntuck’s Food Pantry distributed 1,400 pounds of fresh produce, 50 turkeys, grocery store gift cards, and 10-pound bags of holiday fixings to the Asnuntuck community in celebration of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. The Food Pantry is open year-round to support Asnuntuck’s students, staff and faculty, and their families who are experiencing food insecurity.
