Asnuntuck Receives Donation from Westfield Bank

Westfield Bank has generously donated an additional $5,000 to Asnuntuck Community College (ACC) for a playground.

The Children’s Reading Room at Asnuntuck Community College has received a third $5,000 donation from Westfield Bank to be used for a new playground to be constructed outside, adjacent to the Children's Reading Room location. Westfield Bank has generously donated an additional $5,000 to Asnuntuck Community College (ACC) to be used for a new playground to be constructed outside, adjacent to the Children's Reading Room location. The College anticipates construction for the playground to begin this spring. The bank has donated a total of $15,000 for this project since 2015.

The free childcare service offered to registered students at Asnuntuck Community College, was established in 1974.

The Children's Reading Room is unique in that it functions on a cooperative basis. Each parent is required to volunteer two-hours per week regardless of how much time they utilize the service for their child. This service is available for when parents are on campus.
