Basketball, Hockey Update for Enfield, Fermi High Schools

A look at the postseason possibilities for Raiders and Falcons basketball and ice hockey teams, as well as PSA hoop.

As regular season play on the ice and hardcourt enters its final weeks, the postseason picture for basketball and ice hockey teams from Enfield and Fermi high schools and the CREC Public Safety Academy is becoming clearer.

Girls basketball

Despite having no home court this season, Enfield is becoming the UConn of the North Central Connecticut Conference. The Raiders have run roughshod over every opponent en route to a perfect 16-0 record and the current top ranking in Class M. Just one victory has been by less than double digits: the Rotary Classic tournament final against then-undefeated Bacon Academy. Next: at East Granby, Friday, 7 p.m.
