ENFIELD, CT — A bomb threat reported to police at the Aldi grocery store in the Enfield Commons shopping plaza Friday turned out to be unfounded, police officials said.

Police responded to the Hazard Ave. store around 6 p.m. and evacuated the premises, and a canine search was initiated "simply out of an abundance of caution," Police Chief Alaric Fox said, adding officers found "nothing suspicious on scene."

The dogs left the scene around 7:45 p.m.
