Assumption College, Worcester MA
- The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced that Caterina Fonseca, of Enfield, has earned a spot on the 2019-20 women's basketball team. The team, who finished the last season with a 14-14 record, was selected fifth in the Northeast Division of the Northeast-10 Preseason Coaches' Poll.

- The women's rugby club at Eastern Connecticut State University claimed the New England Collegiate Cup (NECC) championship on Nov. 9 at the 2019 Plymouth Rock Bowl, capping off their undefeated season. Among this year's players was Tiana Lamontagne of Enfield, who majors in Pre-Secondary Education Certification. A tier-two team in the New England-Wide Collegiate Rugby Conference (NEWCRC), the club earned the top spot in their division, scoring 350 points with only 44 points against them. The NEWCRC is an independent Division II collegiate conference for both women's and men's programs. Eastern's women's rugby club was founded in fall 2016. Today the team has more than 30 members.
Western New England University, Springfield MA
- The Western New England University chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society welcomed 62 Arts and Science students at the annual induction ceremony, which took place on November 1 in Rivers Memorial Hall on the University campus. Founded in 1924, Alpha Lambda Delta is a national honor society for first year students that encourages and recognizes superior academic achievement. Alpha Lambda Delta seeks to promote intelligent living, a continued high standard of learning, and encourages students to recognize and develop meaningful goals for their roles in society. Members pledge to use their education to benefit the community, the college, the nation, and the world. Acceptance is based on attaining a minimum grade point average of 3.50 in their first semester of study or a 3.50 cumulative average at the end of the first year. Two Arts and Science students from Enfield were inducted: Ashley Morace, majoring in Social Work, and Kayla Simons, majoring in Psychology.
- Jeremy Comfry from Enfield was among 32 College of Engineering students welcomed into Western New England University's chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society on November 1 in Rivers Memorial Hall on the University campus. Comfry is majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
