• Justin Lipscomb, of Enfield, received the Outstanding Achievement in Journalism Award during American International College's (AIC) Academic Awards ceremony this spring. The Outstanding Achievement in Journalism Award is presented to the student who has demonstrated excellence in this area of the communications major at AIC.
• Amber Ollari, of Enfield, received the Outstanding Achievement in Editing and Publishing Award at American International College (AIC) at the institution's Academic Awards ceremony this spring. The Outstanding Achievement in Editing and Publishing Award is presented to the student who demonstrates excellence in this area of the communications major at AIC. Ollari is a communications major at AIC.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Western New England University student Audrey Lee, from Enfield, spent part of the summer at IESEG School of Management in Paris under a special arrangement with the University. Lee, majoring in International Business attended classes at IESEG's Paris campus in La Defense (business district) the entire month of July, taking different classes each week in the morning, while studying French language in the afternoon.
