Campus Notes - Enfield College Students

ENFIELD, CT — Students are moving back into their dorms over the next two weeks and classes will be commencing shortly, but readMedia Newswire has sent Patch a few last-minute listings of some recent accomplishments by college students from Enfield.

American International College, Springfield MA

• Three students from Enfield received Outstanding Achievement Awards during American International College's Academic Awards ceremony this spring. Jessica Callahan received the Outstanding Achievement in Journalism Award, presented to the student who has demonstrated excellence in this area of the communications major at AIC. Robert Ollari received the Outstanding Achievement in Editing and Publishing Award, presented to the student who demonstrates excellence in this area of the communications major at AIC. Joseph Petrone received the Academic Achievement in Economics and Finance Award, presented to a student who demonstrates superior performance in the economics and finance content areas. Petrone is an economics and finance major at AIC.

Asnuntuck Community College, Enfield CT

• Asnuntuck Community College student Joanna Connors was recently awarded a scholarship from the Connecticut Association of Latinos in Higher Education (CALAHE), at a ceremony held at Southern Connecticut State University. CALAHE Scholarship Committee member and ACC faculty member Sam Irizarry also attended the reception.
