Campus Notes - Enfield College Students

ENFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• The first theatrical production of the fall 2018 semester at Eastern Connecticut State University was "Cabaret," the Tony Award-winning musical set on the eve of Nazi-controlled Germany. Among the cast and crew members who brought "Cabaret" to life was Alexis Schacht of Enfield, who majors in Theatre and Labor Relations/Human Resource Management and worked on the set construction crew. With six performances between Oct. 18 and 28, theatregoers were dazzled by a stage set in the seedy Kit Kat Klub in early-1930s Germany, a time rife with political tensions that ultimately brought Adolf Hitler to power.

SUNY Oswego, Oswego NY

• SUNY Oswego has awarded Natahlie K. Hall of Enfield, who is majoring in biology, a Destination Oswego Scholarship, which goes to high-achieving students from outside New York state. SUNY Oswego honored more than 850 incoming students with merit scholarships.
