ENFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Dean College, Franklin MA

• Dean College is pleased to announce that Francesca Grimaldi of Enfield has earned a place on the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester.

Elmira College, Elmira NY

• Miranda Smith, of Enfield, was among the graduates celebrated at the 161st Elmira College Commencement on Sunday, June 2 at the First Arena, Elmira. The exercises included the conferring of 204 undergraduate and 22 graduate degrees. Smith was also one of 54 students who participated in the annual Elmira College Nurse Pinning Ceremony in Speidel Gymnasium as part of Commencement weekend activities. The ceremony recognizes students who have completed the requirements for a bachelor of science degree in nursing.

Lasell College, Newton MA

• Samantha Lavoie of Enfield, a Hospitality Management major at Lasell College, was named to the spring 2019 Dean's List. She achieved a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher with at least 12 completed credits to merit this accomplishment.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

• The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the spring 2019 Dean's List, which includes seven residents of Enfield. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Honorees from Enfield are Jake Alaimo, Jessica Gorrie, Nancy Lopes, Ashley MacGregor, Chris Martin, Eric Rogers and Jessica Williams.
