Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

  • Talented musicians of the Wind Ensemble at Eastern Connecticut State University presented a concert on May 3 in the Concert Hall of the Fine Arts Instructional Center (FAIC). Emily Miclon of Enfield, who majors in Political Science and Music, played percussion in the concert. The ensemble presented a collection of pieces by Ron Nelson, William Bolcom, Vincent Persichetti and Jaime Texidor. The Wind Ensemble is open by audition only and is designed to provide students with a unique, student-centric instrumental playing experience.

  • Springfield College Third Year Student Daniel Hurlburt of Enfield recently earned an Academic Achievement Award for his continued academic success within the Business Management Department.
    The Springfield College Business Management Department recognized Hurlburt's accomplishment at its recent Awards Luncheon hosted in the Flynn Campus Union.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

  • Ryan Leite was welcomed into Beta Alpha Psi National Honor Society on May 4, at the Western New England University chapter's annual induction ceremony. Leite is majoring in Finance. Founded in 1919, Beta Alpha Psi is an international honor organization for accounting, finance, and information systems students attending universities accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Beta Alpha Psi encourages and recognizes scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field, promotes the study and practice of accounting, finance, and information systems, and provides opportunities for self-development, service, and association among members and practicing professionals. It strives to encourage a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility. Currently, there are over 300 chapters on college and university campuses with over 300,000 members initiated since Beta Alpha Psi's formation.
