  • Lauren Pierce of Enfield was named a member of the Beta Kappa Chi honor society in spring 2017. Pierce is studying Forensic Science at Alvernia University and is a graduate of Enrico Fermi High School.

American International College, Springfield MA

  • American International College in Springfield, MA has named 440 students to the spring 2017 Dean's List. Dean's List students are full-time students with a grade point average between 3.3 and 4.0. Enfield students named to the Dean's List are Jessica Callahan, Robert Ollari, Joseph Petrone, Jacob Runyon, Jonathan Celentano, Samantha Spadaro, Nicholas Romei, Wade Schools, Stacey Gaucher, Adam Scavotto and Sarah Pelletier.

Assumption College, Worcester MA

  • Stephen Picard, of Enfield, was one of 653 graduates to receive a degree during Assumption College's 100th Commencement exercises on Sunday, May 14, held at the DCU Center in downtown Worcester, MA, in which speaker John L. Allen, Jr., editor of Crux, a publication that focuses on news of the Vatican and Catholic Church, delivered the Commencement address. Picard received a Bachelor of Arts degree.

  • Jack Willard of Enfield graduated from Champlain College with a AS degree in Accounting on May 13, 2017. Champlain College's 139th commencement was held at Edmunds Field in Burlington. A total of 516 undergraduates received their associate and bachelor's degrees during the ceremony.
  • A pair of students from Enfield have been named to the Champlain College Dean's List for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in the spring 2017 semester. Rebecca Rogers is majoring in Business Administration, and Jack Willard is majoring in Integrated Studies, Accounting.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

  • Eastern Connecticut State University's English Department recently hosted English Night -- students displayed research posters, showcased senior seminar presentations and were presented with awards for outstanding performance. Taylor Maier of Enfield was honored at the event. Maier's major is Early Childhood Education and English. Maier presented research paper in the form of a poster.
  • Eleven graduating seniors from Eastern Connecticut State University were recognized at the Honors Program Reception at the conclusion of the 2016-17 academic year. The competitive Honors Program contains some of the university's highest-achieving students, who must undergo a rigorous academic schedule and maintain a high GPA in order to remain in the benefit-rich program. Recognized was Kevin Connolly of Enfield, who majors in Biology.
  • Eastern Connecticut State University's annual graduation ceremony was held at the XL Center in Hartford on May 16, with more than 12,000 family members and friends cheering on their sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, as 1,180 undergraduates and 58 graduate students received their diplomas. Graduates from Enfield were Kevin Connolly, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology; Christopher Corso, Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science; Jason Despard, Bachelor of Science in Accounting; Danielle Flaherty, Bachelor of Arts in New Media Studies; Cole Letourneau, Bachelor of General Studies in Business Administration; Hugh Lindo, Bachelor of Science in Communication; Kyle Maynard, Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics; Heather Murray, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Michael Pellegrino, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Trachone Preston, Bachelor of Science in Sport and Leisure Management; Myles Samba-Green, Bachelor of Science in Environmental Earth Science; Taylor Sas, Bachelor of Science in Psychology; James Sayers, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Patrick Thomson, Bachelor of Arts in History; and Danielle Turgeon, Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Communication.

Keene State College, Keene NH

  • 1,245 students have been named to the spring 2017 dean's list at Keene State College, including Reid Cote, Justin Landry, Gillian LaRose, Brooke Meehan, Hannah Raftery, Jordan Trzepacz and Sierra Trzepacz of Enfield.

Marist College, Poughkeepsie NY

  • Erin Toohey of Enfield received a Master's degree in Business Administration from Marist College the weekend of May 19.

University of New Hampshire, Durham NH

  • Marisa Butler of Enfield graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire during the Commencement Ceremony held Saturday, May 20, 2017, on the Durham, NH campus. She earned a BS degree in Nutr: Dietetics. Students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.65-3.84.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

  • A pair of local residents were among 1,319 students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the spring 2017 semester. Nicholas Bergstrom of Enfield is a member of the class of 2019 majoring in mechanical engineering. Thomas Vose of Enfield is a member of the class of 2020 majoring in robotics engineering. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.
