  • Julianna Pelletier of Enfield was named to the Emmanuel College Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

  • Lasell College has released the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the spring 2017 semester. A student must earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher to receive Dean's List recognition. Enfield students earning this recognition are Danielle Lavender and Samantha Lavoie.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

  • Nine Enfield residents were among the approximately 1,000 graduates who received their degrees at the University of Hartford's Undergraduate Commencement on Sunday, May 21: Alexander Fisher, a marketing major in the University's Barney School of Business, received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Sydney Hansen, a criminal justice major in the University's College of Arts and Sciences, received a Bachelor of Arts; Christian Rodriguez, a criminal justice major in the University's College of Arts and Sciences, received a Bachelor of Arts; Jason Dubour, an English major in the University's College of Arts and Sciences, received a Bachelor of Arts; Vincent Kedzior, a politics and government major in the University's College of Arts and Sciences, received a Bachelor of Arts; Anastacia Young, a psychology major in the University's College of Arts and Sciences, received a Bachelor of Arts; Creya Casale, a health science major (prosthetics and orthotics) in the University's College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions, received a Bachelor of Science; Christopher Bergendahl of Enfield, a radiologic technology student in the University's College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions, received a Bachelor of Science; and Adrian Martinez, a photography major in the University's Hartford Art School, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

  • Macy Peach of Enfield received the Outstanding Full-time Student in Management and Leadership award at the 2017 College of Business Awards Ceremony at Western New England University. This award is presented to a graduating senior selected by the faculty for excellence in the study of Management. Dr. Melissa Knott, Chair and Professor of Management, presented the award. Peach graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Leadership.
  • Kristen Dansereau from Enfield was selected to serve as Orientation Group Leader (OGL) for the 2017 Summer Orientation and Registration (SOAR) Program at Western New England University. SOAR helps set the stage for academic readiness and successful community integration. OGLs help guide first year students and parents through the SOAR program by providing information and structure for effective transition to the university environment. OGLs are current students who have modeled solid citizenship and active participation in the Western New England Community. They are selected for their strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and their ability to build relationships with students and families. They have demonstrated expertise and commitment to the first year experience at Western New England University. Dansereau is majoring in Neuroscience - Research Intensive Track.
