Campus Notes - Enfield Students

ENFIELD, CT — Here are some milestones and accomplishments achieved recently by college students from Enfield, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Central Connecticut State University, New Britain CT

• Enfield students named to the Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester are Olivia Baillargeon, Adelle Bentley, Joshua Keegan, Stacey Kraucunas, Shannon La Montagne, Eleanor Lloyd, Michelle Magora, Eric Malicki, Kaylee McAvoy, Adolph Meza, Chelsea Miles, Melissa Olesen, Andrea Orson, Sara Page and Brandon Wunch.

Coastal Carolina University, Conway SC

• Chelsea Jones, a senior majoring in management from Enfield, was among 2,253 students at Coastal Carolina University who made the fall 2016 Dean's List. To qualify for the Dean's List, freshmen must earn a 3.25 grade point average, and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade point average. To qualify for the President's List, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average. All students must be enrolled full time.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Three students and one faculty member from Eastern Connecticut State University were awarded at the NASA Connecticut Space Grant Consortium meeting this past November. Among the students was Kevin Connolly of Enfield, who received a scholarship for his research on the increasing collagen production in skin cells. "I am actually in the midst of completing my research about cell signaling and collagen now," said Connolly. "Once this project is completed, I think it would be very interesting to do further research for NASA." Eastern students were three of the 17 student recipients at the November meeting.

Elms College, Chicopee MA

• Enfield students named to the Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester are Gabrielle Campanelli, Nydiah Fisher, Angela Keene, Lynne Mitchell, Anthony Romei, Eila Soikkeli and Stephanie Tittarelli.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• A pair of students from Enfield have been named to the fall 2016 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester. The Enfield students are Jenna Clavette and Bonnie Trinks.

Siena College, Loudonville NY

• Christopher LaPointe has been named to the Siena College Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester. LaPointe is an English major from Enfield. To be named to the Dean's List, a student's grade point average for the semester must be between 3.5 and 3.89.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

• The University of Hartford is pleased to announce the following Enfield students have been named to the Dean's List for fall 2016: Ryan Allberry, Myria Avery, Christopher Bergendahl, Alan Derench, Jason Dubour, Maria Dufresne, Sydney Hansen, Ronald LaRussa, Adrian Martinez, Christopher Osborne, Haley Porcello, Christian Rodriguez, Alexander Samson and Nyah Saroce.

Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre PA

• Wilkes University awarded 283 doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees to students graduating after the completion of the fall 2016 semester. Julio Duran of Enfield received a Master of Science in Nursing.
