Car Stolen From Enfield Crashes In Hartford, Then Flees

The operator of the stolen vehicle fled the scene on foot, according to police.

HARTFORD, CT — A car which had been stolen in Enfield crashed into another vehicle Monday morning in Hartford, injuring a woman, then the driver fled the scene, according to police.

Enfield Police Chief Alaric Fox said a white 2019 Hyundai Sonata had been stolen from Middlesex Drive in the southern part of town. It was involved in a crash with another car on Ridgefield Street in Hartford, near the junction of Westbourne Parkway, and the operator fled the scene.

The woman in the second car sustained undisclosed injuries, police said.

Fox said the Hyundai was recovered with heavy front end damage. No arrests had been made as of mid-morning, he added.
