In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son David Lillis.
Carol and Guy enjoyed a long retirement before some health issues interfered. They took many trips around the US and Europe. They were original benefactors to Johnson Memorial Hospital’s Stafford campus where Carol volunteered. They loved to eat out and dance to some live music or see a show. After Guy’s death, Carol continued her love for restaurants. She left good memories at The Country Diner in Enfield and Kathy’s Restaurant in Somers where she was a regular for so many years. Her beloved companion and caregiver Awa Foon was her shopping buddy, sister, and restaurant companion for more than 3 years as Carol’s eye sight and Alzheimer’s limited Carol’s driving and home skills.
The family is forever grateful for Awa and Companions & Homemaker’s compassionate care.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, March 13th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 14th at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 383 Hazard Avenue, Enfield followed by a reception at the church hall.
A committal service will be held on Monday, April 6th at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery in East Greenwich, RI.
Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 383 Hazard Avenue, Enfield, CT 06082.
