Enfield Police K-9 Locates Missing Bloomfield Woman With Dementia: PD
Enfield was called in for mutual aid, with the police dog finding the woman stuck in mud less than a quarter mile from her home.

BLOOMFIELD/ENFIELD, CT — The Enfield Police Department’s K-9 Unit assisted Bloomfield officers last Thursday night, April 23, in locating a missing elderly woman with dementia, according to a department statement.
Police said the woman was last seen leaving her residence around 8 p.m. in Bloomfield.
About an hour later, Bloomfield requested mutual aid from Enfield’s K-9 Unit.

K-9 "Dunkin" was deployed to track the woman’s movements, the Enfield PD's K-9 Unit posted.
Officers reported that the dog successfully located her in thick brush, where she was stuck in mud less than a quarter mile from her home.

Authorities did not release additional details about the woman’s condition but indicated the search concluded successfully.
