Charges Filed Against Woman Who Broke Into Enfield House: PD
She allegedly punched through a piece of cardboard which was covering a previously broken window, police said.

ENFIELD, CT — A Suffield woman turned herself in to Enfield police Tuesday on a warrant charging her with burglary stemming from an incident on Gary Drive last month, police said.
Melissa Bridge, 33, was charged with first-degree burglary at night and disorderly conduct. She was released on $10,000 bond, and is slated to appear in Enfield Superior Court June 18.
According to an arrest warrant, police received a 9-1-1 call around 11:40 p.m. on May 23 from "a woman and her daughter inside the house, speaking in hushed tones," Police Chief Alaric Fox said. They said a woman, later identified as Bridges, pulled into the driveway and "began pounding on the door," followed by "smashing sounds."

The complainants told police Bridges came into the house yelling "Where is Stephanie?" and "Chris, I know you're here." She was told to leave the premises, Fox said.
Police discovered a window which had been previously broken, but Bridge allegedly "punched through the cardboard" covering it, Fox said.
