ENFIELD, CT — The former Subway sandwich shop recently vacated in the Riverview Plaza on Elm Street will not be empty for long, as a Rooster's Chicken & Waffles is preparing to open its seventh Connecticut location next month at the site.
A Facebook announcement of the imminent addition from franchise management indicates the new restaurant plans to open in mid-July.
An online menu indicates the restaurant offers a variety of southern-style chicken dishes, including wings, tenders, nuggets, wraps, sandwiches and salads. Family meals and combo deals are also available.
