CLHS Students Greet Holiday Convoy
Students from CREC's Civic Leadership High School lined Rt 5 Wednesday morning to witness the passing of the Wreaths Across America convoy.
The Wreaths Across America convoy wound its way through Enfield Wednesday morning. The route brought the convoy from the WalMart Super Store on Rt 5 to the Parkman School where a brief ceremony was held. The route passed Enfield St School, Enfield HS, Crandall and St. Martha's, Hazardville Elementary, Barnard, Whitney and JFK.
The 300 students from Civic Leadership High School were among the first to see the convoy. The school's Honor Guard stood proudly by the driveway rendering honors as the convoy passed.
After the ceremony at Parkman Elementary, the convoy headed for Pennsylvania. The mission of Wreaths Across America is to place a wreath on the grave of every veteran in cemeteries across the nation. For more information, visit www.wreathsacrossamerica.org .
