ENFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Assumption College, Worcester MA

• Assumption College has announced that Kennedy O'Hara of Enfield, Class of 2021, is one of 493 students named to the College's Dean's List for the fall 2018 semester. Students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester to be included on the prestigious list, which is announced at the completion of the fall and spring semesters.

Nichols College, Dudley MA

• Approximately 600 Nichols students, including four from Enfield, achieved Dean's List or Dean's High Honors status during the fall 2018 semester. Honorees from Enfield are Ian Ledger, Dean's High Honors; Zachary Palmer, Dean's High Honors; Nicholas Vermette, Dean's List; and Sarah Williams, Dean's High Honors. The Dean's List recognizes students who earned high grades during a single semester. To be on the Dean's List, a student must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.2 for at least 12 credit-hours and receive no grade below a C+ during the semester. A student who earns a grade point average of 3.6 or higher is awarded Dean's High Honors.
