College Milestones By Students From Enfield: Spring 2023

Clark University, Worcester MA

• Sobia Khokhar of Enfield received a degree during the University's 119th Commencement exercises on Sunday, May 21. Khokhar graduated with a Master of Science in management.

Goodwin University, East Hartford CT

• Goodwin University's President's List for the spring 2023 session includes 270 students, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA. Among them are Enfield residents Raelyn Brann, Kimberlee Bryson, Krystle Colon, Jessica D'Amours and Shannon Miller.
• Goodwin University announces 652 students achieved Dean's List status for the spring 2023 session, including Enfield residents Raelyn Brann, Kimberlee Bryson, Amanda Burke, Christina Camilleri, Monetta Changoo, Krystle Colon, Jessica D'Amours, Haydn Katz, Shannon Miller, James Peritz, Luisa Rodriguez and Stephen St. John.

Lasell University, Newton MA

• Caitlin Gannon and Kaylene Ellis, both of Enfield, made the spring 2023 Dean's List, which includes students who have completed at least 12 credits as a full-time student in that semester and have achieved a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Kaylene Ellis, a Lasell University student from Enfield, participated in the institution's annual Connected Learning Symposium in April. Each presentation demonstrates a particular set of core career competencies listed by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) as being in high demand in the workforce. Ellis was featured in "Fresh Thoughts," a yearly publication of top student essays from Lasell's introductory writing course selected by a panel of faculty judges. Ellis also presented "Restorative Circles for Community Building," a hands-on experience in which participants practiced empathy, worked on deep listening, and found common humanity.

Manchester Community College, Manchester CT

• Timothy Cummings, Eva Cushman, Jacob Downs, Lucas Dube, Megan Murray, Desiree Napper and Lindsay Rooney, all of Enfield, graduated May 25 from Manchester Community College.

Regis College, Weston MA

• Madison Desrosiers of Enfield was named to Regis College's spring 2023 Dean's List. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Regis sophomores, juniors, seniors, and professional studies students must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher; first-year students must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• Springfield College recognizes the following Enfield students for being named to the Dean's List for academic excellence for the 2023 spring semester: Thomas Charubin, Madison Daly, Ashley Harding, Meagan Hayes, Mia Jensen, Rachel Justice, Tyler Simmons and Skylar Steele. The criteria for selection to the Dean's List are as follows: The student must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework for the term, exclusive of "P" grades. The student must not have any incompletes or missing grades in the designated term. The student must have a minimum semester grade average of 3.500 for the term.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Alexander Krawiec of Enfield was welcomed into the Sigma Nu Tau National Honor Society on April 25 at the Western New England University's annual chapter induction ceremony in Sleith Hall's Wood Auditorium. Sigma Nu Tau is a national, academic honor society for Entrepreneurship majors who perform well academically, and possess the traits of honor, integrity, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Krawiec is working toward a BSBA in entrepreneurship.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Worcester Polytechnic Institute's 154th Commencement exercises on May 13 included two graduates from Enfield: Sarah Boynton , who majored in biomedical engineering, and Aaron Longo, who majored in mechanical engineering and robotics engineering.
