Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT
- Eastern Connecticut State University student Emily Miclon of Enfield is one of two students participating in the University's Summer Research/Creative Activity Fellowship program. Miclon majors in Music and is working alongside Music Professor Jeff Calissi this summer on a project titled "The Preparation and Performance of Advanced Precision Repertoire." Their research includes preparing advanced pieces of music on marimba, snare drum and timpani.

- Jamason Pestana of Enfield has been named to the Plymouth State University President's List for the spring 2018 semester. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better for the semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. Pestana is a Health and Human Performance major at Plymouth State.
