College Notes - Enfield Students

ENFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eighteen Eastern Connecticut State University students are participating in percussion ensembles this spring 2019 semester. The Percussion Ensemble, Percussion Group and World Percussion Ensemble each offer an opportunity for instrumentalists to perform exclusively on percussion instruments in a chamber setting. Among the student musicians is Emily Miclon of Enfield, who majors in Music. Miclon is in the Percussion Ensemble, the World Percussion Ensemble and the Percussion Group.

Lasell College, Newton MA

• The Lasell College men's volleyball team used a team effort Tuesday evening to defeat Pine Manor College, 3-0, in the home opener at the Lasell Athletic Center. The home team won by set scores of 25-8, 25-12 and 25-7 as the Lasers improve to 7-10 overall. Sophomores Dillon DeSouza of Enfield and Cobi Moore of Hampstead, N.H. led the Lasers with seven kills apiece.
