Watson was originally arrested by Enfield police on a warrant on June 17, 2019, following a lengthy investigation into an incident involving a 15-year-old boy which took place on July 21, 2018. The boy's mother had contacted police when her son returned home stumbling and acting strangely, according to an affidavit supporting Watson's arrest.
The boy told police he believed Watson "had drugged him for sex." He also said prior to the incident, Watson had invited him to his apartment on several occasions to watch movies, had offered him cash to perform sexual acts, and given him crack cocaine several times, according to the affidavit.
