Convicted Enfield Arsonist Sentenced to Prison

The now-18-year-old pleaded guilty to arson charges under the Alford doctrine in late January.

ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield teenager who pleaded guilty to setting multiple fires in his neighborhood in 2014 and 2015 was sentenced Friday to 13 years in prison, suspended after five years, followed by five years' probation.

Davidson Izzo, 18, pleaded guilty under the Alford doctrine in late January to two counts of first-degree arson in connection with barn fires at 383 Elm Street and 364 Elm Street between Nov. 2014 and Jan. 2015.

He has been incarcerated since his arrest on March 3, 2015. He will receive credit for the two years he has already spent behind bars.

In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors dropped four other arson charges against Izzo.

His sentencing was Friday in Hartford Superior Court.
