ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield man who pleaded guilty in February to possession of ammunition by a convicted felon was sentenced Wednesday to 21 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, by a federal judge in Hartford.

Tyrus Prude, 29, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Michael P. Shea, according to John H. Durham, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

According to court documents and statements made in court, on Jan. 19, 2018, law enforcement conducted a court-authorized search of Prude’s Enfield residence and seized six live rounds of 9mm ammunition, Durham said.
