The couple's charges stem from the Feb. 3 robbery of the Santander Bank at 800 Enfield Street. Following that robbery, Enfield police posted surveillance video and photos to other agencies, as well as various media outlets, Chief Carl Sferrazza said.

A representative of the loss prevention department at Kohl's in Dayville called Enfield police and said they recognized the wanted man as Sheridan. Other agencies had surveillance videos containing images of what appeared to be the same person, stemming from holdups in Putnam, Dayville and Webster, Mass., Sferrazza said.

Several striking similarities in the various cases include the fact the demand notes were written on fast food restaurant napkins, including McDonald's and Burger King, and in each instance the bandit misspelled "drawer" as "droor," Sferrazza said.

Winter is believed to have served as the driver for Sheridan during the robberies, police said.
