Crash With Serious Injuries Closes Major Enfield Artery [UPDATED]
An interstate pursuit ended in a two-vehicle collision which closed Route 190 for nearly five hours Tuesday evening.

ENFIELD, CT — A serious crash involving a car and an SUV closed one of the major roadways through Enfield for more than four and a half hours Tuesday evening.
The crash occurred at 6:32 p.m. on Route 190, or Hazard Avenue, just east of the Taylor Road junction in the Scitico section of town. The vehicles involved were a 2004 Honda Accord and a 2010 Acura MDX, police said.
Police did not identify either operator, but did say the crash involved "serious injury."

Lt. Keith Parent said a police pursuit began in Massachusetts, then worked into Somers where Connecticut State Police attempted to stop the vehicle before the collision just over the town line in Enfield.
The roadway was closed in both directions until 11:05 p.m. as police conducted an investigation.
