Daniel A. Reis, 48; Enfield Resident, Auto Enthusiast

Daniel A. Reis, 48, of Enfield, died peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Hartford on June 8, 1966, Dan was the son of the late Armindo Reis and Gloria (Madore) Reis.

Dan was an avid drag racer and into muscle cars, he was known as ‘Dan Dan the Chevy Man.’ Dan has resided in Enfield for twenty years and previously resided in Somers and Windsor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie (VanNostrand) Reis of Enfield; his mother, Gloria (Madore) Reis of Enfield; his brother, Steven R. Reis and his wife, Karin of Ballston Lake, NY; his large extended family; and his faithful companion, Remy.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, June 3, at 9:15 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels for a procession to St. Bernard Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be held in Somers Center Cemetery. His family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, June 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield.
