Domestic Violence Awareness Events

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and The Network has lots of Events for you to learn how to get involved.

October (GREATER ENFIELD) - October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Network has some great ways for you to learn more about what domestic violence is and support efforts to prevent it.

October 5-9th Asnuntuck Community College- All operational hours: The Network in partnership with A.C.C will be displaying the Clothesline Project, which was created in 1990 to address the issue of violence against women. Through decorating a t-shirt, students will be given the opportunity to creatively express how violence has impacted them.

October 10th Enfield Square Mall 10am-3pm: We will host a Domestic Violence Awareness “Hearts & Roses Event.” At this event you can sign a healthy relationship pledge, enter to win our raffles, learn about how domestic violence impacts our community and how you can help, donate an item to our safe house, and participate in activities. October 19-23rd Asnuntuck Community College- All operational hours: The Network will be displaying the Silent Witnesses at Asnuntuck Community College. The purpose of Silent Witness is to provide hope, help, and healing for victims and violators of domestic violence. Thousands of men and women die each year as a result of acts of domestic violence, and each one has a story. We need to remember their names and their story.
