Around 2:50 a.m., residents in the High Street area of town were awakened by the sound of glass being smashed across the street. They looked in a garage and saw three suspects near a car, Deputy Police Chief Gary Collins said.
The suspects ran off and the neighbors pursued them on foot, then jumped into their car to continue the pursuit as police were summoned, Collins said.

A male suspect, later identified as Conley, fled into a house on Keller Court. A police dog was brought to the scene and tracked Conley, who then fled the building and ran off, leaping over fences as he ran. He was caught shortly thereafter on nearby Grant Avenue, Collins said.
The neighbors identified Conley as one of the persons they had seen earlier in the garage, Collins said.
Police know the identity of a second suspect and are applying for a warrant, the deputy chief added.
