The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Economic development is the most pressing issue. We have to be business friendly and be willing to make adjustments to service the needs of our residents. The demolition of properties and to redevelop areas in town to increase our tax base and grand list are essential. If elected with a majority, it will be a top priority to overturn the ordinance on banning cannabis establishments in Enfield. I would seek to have a referendum on this issue and proceed accordingly. This was an ordinance that was passed with no discussion.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

I believe in communication and having open discussions prior to making decisions that affect the residents of our town. Over the past four years, I have made it a priority of mine to answer all calls and emails to assist in questions that residents have inquired about. My leadership skills and a sensible approach are strong points that make me be effective in my role as a councilor.

Accomplishments:

I am a retired teacher, having taught in Enfield for 38 years and currently teaching all the math courses for the Alternative High School and also teach in the Adult Education program. I am the owner of the Cressotti Baseball School for the past 30 years, servicing the towns in northern Connecticut. I am active in CT Special Olympic program, member of the CT and National Baseball Coaches Association. I am very active in the sports programs for the Allied Rehabilitation Center, The Enfield Stars. I am a proud member of the Enfield Athletic Hall of Fame - George Daly Award recipient. I am also in the Windsor Locks Athletic Hall of Fame. I was the former minority leader of the town council. I serve on the Enfield Together Coalition, Commission on Aging, Joint Facilities, KITE, First Readers, water pollution control commission, and campaign manager for Tom Arnone in the 58th District. I am a proud supporter of the Opera House Players as well as all the Enfield fire districts, police department and Emergency Medical Services. I look forward to serving the town of Enfield and continue to show leadership skills necessary to being a member of the town council.

Other issues:

The key issues that define our platform are the following: Equity, economy, and education. The importance of our seniors, veterans, and citizens with disabilities are also priorities. Public safety of our residents and the continuing fight with the opioid epidemic are of equal importance.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

I am an active listener and communicate well with my constituents. I sincerely believe in all the committees and commissions of which I am a member. It is an honor and a pleasure to serve the residents of Enfield and to help make the town the best it can be for all. We need to work together as a TEAM to achieve goals, objectives, outcomes and get results for a positive outlook and vision for Enfield.
