Enfield Names New Town Attorney

The Town Council voted Feb. 2 to appoint the attorney to a two-year term as Enfield's Town Attorney.

ENFIELD, CT — The Town Council has selected a new legal advisor for the next two years.

Attorney Cindy Cieslak was appointed Town Attorney on Feb. 2, 2026, following a Town Council vote. She will serve a two-year term advising town officials on legal matters ranging from contracts and labor negotiations to public meetings and litigation.

Cieslak is a partner at Rose Kallor, LLP, a firm known for its work in public sector law. Her practice focuses heavily on municipal and government representation, including freedom of information compliance, administrative proceedings, personnel issues, pensions, civil rights, and municipal liability. She has represented municipalities before the Connecticut Superior, Appellate and Supreme Courts, as well as federal courts and agencies.

“I look forward to serving the Town Council and I am grateful for this opportunity,” Cieslak said in a statement.

Mayor Gina Cekala praised the appointment, saying Cieslak brings “an exceptional level of professionalism, experience, and dedication to the Town of Enfield,” adding that her municipal law background and commitment to public service make her “an outstanding choice.”

Cieslak graduated summa cum laude from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in political science and earned her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law. She lives in West Hartford with her husband and two children.
