Enfield Director of Social Services Resigns Suddenly

She submitted her resignation Friday, effective immediately, according to the town's director of human resources.

ENFIELD, CT — Dawn Homer-Bouthiette, who has headed the town's Department of Social Services for the past three years, resigned Friday, according to Director of Human Resources Steve Bielenda.

In a one-sentence letter addressed to Town Manager Christopher Bromson, Homer-Bouthiette wrote:

Please be advised that following my meeting with Human Resources Director Bielenda this afternoon, I am offering my resignation effective immediately.

Homer-Bouthiette started work in Enfield on March 28, 2016. She was making a yearly salary of $103,948.20, according to Bielenda.

No further information about the circumstances of her departure was immediately available. Patch has filed a Freedom of Information Act request to obtain her disciplinary file.
