The work will affect I-91 on- and off-ramps between exits 45 and 49, with detours posted during overnight hours.
ENFIELD, CT — Drivers in Enfield should expect nighttime ramp closures along Interstate 91 starting next week as part of a state pavement preservation project.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation said temporary closures of I-91 northbound and southbound on- and off-ramps between exits 45 and 49 are scheduled to begin Monday, April 20. The overnight work is expected to continue through May 29.
According to CTDOT, the closures are planned Monday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Officials said only one ramp will be closed at a time.

Electronic message boards and detour signs will direct drivers through the work zone. State and local police, along with flaggers, are also expected to help guide traffic.
