Members of Enfield Elks Lodge 2222 visited Danny's Pizza on March 25 to present an "Elks Distinguished Citizenship Award" certificate to business owner Danny Poggie. The award was presented by Lodge Exalted Ruler Donald Percoski. It recognizes Danny's continuing support and donations of food items for Enfield Elks Lodge youth activities events, fundraising and community service projects.

The certificate also acknowledges Danny's "outstanding and meritorious service to humanity." In addition to supporting the Elks, Danny has been a major supporter of the Network Against Domestic Abuse in Enfield. A portion of the sales of Danny's homemade salad dressings is donated regularly to the Network.

In addition to local Lodge leaders, the award certificate was signed by Elks Grand Exalted Ruler Michael T. Luhr and Grand Secretary Bryan R. Klatt.
