Enfield Elks Present National Award to Pam Townsend
The Distinguished Citizenship Award from the Elks Grand Lodge in Chicago recognizes Pam's outstanding and meritorious service to humanity.
Enfield Elks Lodge 2222 recently presented a Distinguished Citizenship Award to Pam Townsend of Enfield. Pam is a retired U.S. Army command sergeant major who has been inducted into the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame.
The Citizenship Award, from the Elks Grand Lodge in Chicago, recognizes Pam’s outstanding and meritorious service to humanity.
In presenting the award, Enfield Elks Exalted Ruler Laura Ennis noted that “Pam has been deeply involved in Veterans advocacy and community service in Enfield. She is a member of American Legion Post 154 and has served as president of the Auxiliary since 2016. She is the public relations officer for Enfield’s Veterans Council and has held leadership positions on the Enfield Patriot Award Committee.”

Pam was named Enfield’s Patriot of the Year in 2023 and received the Chapel of the Four Chaplains Legion of Honor Award in 2020. She has also coordinated local participation in Wreaths Across America, and been responsible for expanding participation and sponsorships.
“The Enfield Elks are proud to present this award to Pam Townsend in recognition of her selfless contributions and dedicated service to our veterans and our community,” Laura concluded.
