• Former Enfield School Could Become 39 Apartments (patch.com) — Enfield residents may soon see the long-vacant Nathan Hale Elementary School transformed into 39 age-restricted apartments for people 55 and older. A developer has filed plans and a rezoning request for the 6.17-acre Taylor Road property, with the Planning and Zoning Commission set to review the proposal at Town Hall. The project aims to fit the surrounding Scitico neighborhood and support local revitalization efforts.
   

• Enfield man charged in armed robbery at Wethersfield Motel 6 (wfsb.com) — An Enfield resident has been charged in connection with a violent 2025 armed robbery at a Motel 6 in Wethersfield, following what police describe as an extensive investigation. Francisco Perez faces kidnapping, robbery, assault, and larceny charges, is held on a $500,000 bond, and is due in New Britain Superior Court, while Wethersfield detectives continue seeking tips from the public.
